Spring 2024 - Pets

This term, our topic is...

 

 

 

 

During this topic children will have the opportunity to find out about unusual pets and discuss their own pets.

We are planning a visit from animal encounters, who will bring in a range of weird and wonderful creatures for us to meet!

We will be spendning time using ICT to research facts about animals.

 

In maths, children will be working on multiplication and division, exploring length and height as well as mass and capacity, and given the opportunity to explore money.

 

       

 

We will be looking at books such as 'Dear Zoo', 'Mog', and 'The Great Pet Sale'.

 

   

 

We will be exploring animal poetry, and as a final project parents will be invited to school to view the work the children have made and listen to their recitation of poetry.
