Autumn 2023 - Space


This autumn term, our topic is all about space! We will be finding out all about the planets in our solar system, including our moon and the first moon landing. We will learn about day and night on Earth, and what 'a year' means. 

 

                  

 

In literacy we will be reading many space themed stories including 'Bob, Man on the Moon', 'Beegu' and 'The first Hippo on the moon'

 

During the topic we will have a visit from a portable starlab, where pupils will experience a show all about our solar system.

 

   

Throughout the topic, pupils will experience investigation of a crashed UFO and the chance to build a suitable home for an alien, as well as learning about famous Welsh astronauts, designing and launching rockets and exploring light and shadow.
