Our class text over the past few weeks has been 'George's Marvellous Medicine' by Roald Dahl.

Pupils have enjoyed using natural materials found in the school grounds to create a new 'Marevelous Medicine' for George's grandmother.

Well done to one of our Year 2 pupils for winning the 'Gymnast of the Year ' award from St. Tydfils Gymnastics Club.

Year 2 have enjoyed the start of our 'Muck, Mess and Mixtures' topic!

They've completed investigations on colour mixing using water, food colouring and paper towels, made a rain cloud in a jar and enjoyed predicting what happens when they mixed food colouring and white vinegar with bicarbonate of soda.

Year 2 loved being Santa's little helpers in this year's 'Elf School'. They made lots of wonderful things including cards and baubles, read lots of Santa's letters and replied to them, measured wrapping paper to wrap different sized presents and listened to 'Twas the Night before Christmas' with a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Year 2 had an amazing time at Tecniquest. They watched the 'Blast Off' show all about the moon landings and learned some interesting facts about the planets.

They even had a turn at trying on an astronaut space suit and helmet!
