Estyn and Performance Data

Mrs Roden and Mrs Hook were invited to an Estyn Awards Evening where the success of our school in achieving 5x 'Excellent' judgements in our 2018-19 inspection was recognised and celebrated. 

 

 

They accepted the award on behalf of all staff, pupils, governors and the community of Aberfan and Merthyr Vale.

 

Kirsty Williams, the Welsh Assembly Minister for Education, and Meilyr Rowlands, Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales presented the award. 

We received a wonderful letter in response to our achievement of 5x Excellent judgements in our recent Estyn inspection from Kirsty Williams, Wales' Minister for Education.
