Autumn Term
Our topic this term is called Magical Musicals. As part of our work, we will be learning about how theatres have evolved over time and investigating light and sound, behind the scenes to find out what really makes a musical magical. There will be singing, dancing and all that jazz as we write our own scripts and songs to perform for our Christmas concert. It really will be a show stopper that you will not want to miss!
As we delve deeper into the world of musicals, we will be discussing if stories should always have a happy ending and exploring diversity, stereotypes and bullying in musicals. Should you judge a book by it's cover?
As part of our Cwricwlwm Cymreig, we will be researching famous welsh actors and performers and visiting the Wales Millennium Centre to see the new musical Aladdin.
In addition to this, we will be investigating food choices and packaging available at theatres and planning and preparing a healthy snack with eco friendly packaging!
