Our topic this term is ‘Robots’ and we shall be finding out about different types of robots and how they are used in our world today. The children will be finding out at first hand how drones are used by the Police and also how robotics play an important part in the NHS today.
In addition, we shall be considering whether robots can actually have feelings and also discussing AI and its uses in everyday life.
We shall be building robots and experimenting with coding as part of different workshops and will be visiting We the Curious in Bristol to experiment with Scribblebots and the artwork which they can produce.
We shall be gaining an appreciation of their locality by looking closely at ‘The Giant’s Gap’ and will be creating watercolour paintings.
By the end of this topic we will be designing and creating our own robots.
