Pupil voice

As a school, we have signed up to something called the United National Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

One of these rights (Article 12) says that children and young people should have a say when people are making decisions that affect them. We call this 'Pupil Voice'.

Pupil Voice plays a huge part in life at Ynysowen Community Primary school.

We believe that children should have ownership over their learning and therefore ensure they have a large and meaningful role in school life. We have many pupil-participation groups across the school, with opportunities for children to represent their classes in a variety of ways.

Please see below to take a look at all of the great work going on by our pupil responsibility clubs.
