Autumn Term 2023

This Autumn term, our topic is Nursery Rhymes!

 

1,2,3,4,5 Can we learn some Nursery Rhymes?

 

Pupils will explore each Nursery Rhyme through a multi sensory approach allowing them to sing along, join in with actions and act out the rhyme too.

 

Children will be given the opportunity to make their own Nursery Rhyme book, stick puppets,

The major event at the end of term will be a ‘Nursery Rhyme’ themed Christmas Concert.

Over the term through play, we will explore, discover and ask simple questions to learn more about the different Nursery Rhymes. The children will have the opportunity to learn Welsh Nursery Rhymes and rhymes from around the world.

Children will learn how to write lists, cards, letters invitations linked through our focus Nursery Rhyme.

 

Our Nursery Rhymes this term will include...

Heads, shoulders, knees and toes, 1,2,3,4,5 Once I caught a fish alive, Old Macdonald Had a Farm, Incy Wincy Spider, Humpty Dumpty, Miss Polly Had a Dolly and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!
