Topic Information

 

This autumn term, our topic is all about space!

  To begin our topic, we will visit 'We the Curious' in Bristol and take part in an exciting workshop as well as watch a show in their fantastic starlab.   

     

                                                  

We will be reading many space themed stories including 'Bob, Man on the Moon', 'Beegu' and 'The first Hippo on the moon'.

 

                                             

 

Throughout the topic, pupils will experience investigation of a crashed UFO, learn about the planets in our solar system, our moon and its phases as well as the first moon landing. We will learn about day and night on Earth, and what 'a year' means. We will find out about Welsh astronauts, design and launch rockets and create our very own alien.
